Traveling footwear exhibit makes stop in Alamosa

ALAMOSA, Colo. - On Wednesday afternoon, campers at Adams State University head cross country/track & field coach Damon Martin's 23rd Annual High Altitude and Cross Country Distance Camp were treated to a visit from the PUMA evoSPEED traveling demo exhibit.
PUMA, one of the world's leading sport and lifestyle companies, sponsors the Adams State University cross country and track & field programs. During Wednesday's visit, campers and community members were given the chance to learn about PUMA's new evoSPEED collection of footwear.
Under the directon of Martin, the Grizzly men claimed their fourth straight U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) Program of the Year award for the 2011-12 sasons, given to the team with the highest combined finish at each of the three NCAA championships, thanks in part to a national championship team effort in outdoor track & field, the first such national title for either the ASU men's or women's programs. Adams State is the only men's team to have ever earned the award. The Grizzly women finished as runner-up in the USTFCCCA Program of the Year Award standings at the conclusion of the 2011-12 season, the same spot they have occupied for each of the four years of the award's existence.
