The Grizzlies are coming off a 4-8-2 conference record in 2011 with a 7-9-2 overall record. ASU returns five starters from last seasons squad, now coached by Doris Sullivan.

Following from third to ninth place respectively in the poll's order is Fort Lewis, Metro State, Colorado Mesa, New Mexico Highlands, UC-Colorado Springs, CSU-Pueblo and Colorado Christian.
This Saturday, the Grizzlies play a scrimmage at Otero Junior College with a 7 p.m. start.
