Building on the momentum of a perfect-score national title in 1992, the 1993 and 1994 Adams State men's cross country teams continued a golden era of dominance—completing a three-peat at the NCAA Division II National Championships.
In 1993, the Grizzlies nearly matched perfection, capturing the team title with just 25 points. That year also saw Shane Healy win the individual national championship, crossing the finish line in 28:04.00. In 1994, Adams State secured its third consecutive national title, scoring 55 points and proving once again they were the gold standard in collegiate distance running.
Across those two seasons, the program produced 14 All-Americans—a testament to the team's depth, talent and championship culture.
