Amber Blackhurst was a three-time national champion as a senior as she won the 2002 cross country championship, the indoor 5,000-meter championship and the outdoor 5,000-meter championship.
In addition, she was a five-time All-American including two in cross country (2000, 2002), one in indoor track (2003) and two in outdoor track (2001, 2003). She graduated from Adams State in 2003.
