Kincaid was a formidable presence at the forward and center position for the Adams State men's basketball program from 1962-66. Playing alongside Lonnie Porter, a fellow Adams State Hall of Famer, Kincaid was a four year starter. Although he made a name for himself with basketball he also participated in football and track & field. As a freshman, Kincaid lined up as a tight end for the 1962 Adams State football team under head coach and College Football Hall of Famer, Darrell Mudra. That year Adams State compiled a 9-1 record and a 23-20 win over Northern Illinois University in the Mineral Water Bowl. Kincaid also spent three years competing in shot put and discus under legendary coach Dr. Joe I. Vigil.
