  • Member of three NAIA National Championship Teams (1986-88)
  • Team captain as a senior
  • 8-time overall all-American distance runner
  • Former outdoor school-record holder in 5K (13:48)
  • 1989 Adams State graduate in psychology
  • Currently in master’s in counseling program at St. Martin’s University
  • Head Cross Country/Track coach at Evergreen State (Wash.) from 2001-09
  • Also served as SID there
  • Now works with girlfriend Rachel as Co-Directors of Guerilla Running, a training group and racing club in Olympia, Wash.
  • Also coaches middle school track & field for Evergreen Christian School
  • Still runs at master’s level
  • Finished second at Washington State Championship Half-Marathon and 10th at the U.S. Master’s Level Cross Country Championships in 2010
  • Originally from Evergreen, Colo.
  • Parents and one sister still live in Colorado.  Another sister lives in Ohio
