  • ASC’s all-time winningest football coach with 68 wins
  • Named as 1989 NAIA National Coach of the Year
  • Led ASC to its last RMAC title (7-0 record) in that year
  • Tri-captain of the University of Colorado team in the 1970’s
  • Still holds Buffs’ record for single-game tackles (30 in 1974)
  • Was an Honorable Mention All-Big Eight selection
  • Signed with Kansas City Chiefs before knee injury thwarted his career
  • Coached at Grand Junction High School and Mesa State College before becoming ASC’s Head Coach in 1984
  • Was ASC’s Athletic Director
  • Served on the NCAA Division II Football Committee
