Won five NAIA District Championships, gaining Number 9 ranking in the nation in 1981-82
Played major part in bringing the 1968 Olympic team to Alamosa for high altitude training.

Coached All-American Lonnie Porter in 1960’s
Took over women’s program in 1979 and coached teams which featured Deb Gilbert, to phenomenal success in the NAIA
