Adams State University Athletics

Workman played baseball for Adams State from 1958-61. Already part of the Hall of Fame induction teams of 1958-1960 baseball teams, Workman was a crucial part to the team’s NAIA Regional Tournament appearance in 1958. As a freshman he hit .435 and had a team-high 23 RBIs. He was 4-1 on the mound. As a sophomore he produced a .458 batting average and 23 RBIs. He hit .458 yet again as a junior, then as a senior hit .416 with 24 RBIs. He was named to the Rocky Mountain Conference All-Star Team all four years.
