  • 1967 and 1968 NAIA All-America receiver and tight end
  • Teams went a combined 16-2 and a perfect 6-0 in RMAC play during those two years
  • Caught a then school-record 12 touchdown passes in 1967
  • Averaged an impressive 30.1 yards per catch that season
  • Caught 18 touchdown passes in his 2-year year career despite playing in a conservative Wing-T offense
  • Was also an All-American at Garden City (Kan.) Community College in 1966
  • Signed as a free agent by the Denver Broncos in 1969 and played for two seasons
  • Went on to the coaching ranks, coaching successful high school teams in his native Pennsylvania, Colorado and most recently Nogales, Arizona
  • Posted a combined 110 wins as a head coach
  • Now is in his first year as the offensive coordinator and receivers coach for Pima Community College in Tucson
  • Also coached professional football in Italy
