Adams State University Athletics

John Flores came to Adams State prior to the 1976 season from Northeastern Junior College. In his two years with Adams State he earned two top-five finishes at the NAIA National Championships. In his first season in 1976, he finished fourth at at the national championships. A year later, Flores made it back to nationals and was the 1977 national champion at the 134 pound weight class.
