Described by former coach and ASU Hall of Famer Jack “Doc” Cotton as the “catalyst” for her team, Pam was one of the best all-around players in women’s basketball history. Doc described her as “sneaky fast” and brags of her great shooting and defensive abilities.
Pam’s Head Coach Todd Cotton says “Pam made everyone around her better on and off the floor”. “She was intense and intelligent”. Inside to outside, Pam could play at any division and was one of the most well-rounded players he has ever coached. Her “team first” attitude helped the ASC “Indianettes” clinch the division title in 1982. Chris Lopez of the Valley Courier described Pam as “possibly the steadiest of all the Indianettes this year” earning her RMAC women’s Player of the Week honors.
Leading the team in scoring, averaging 21.2 points per game, Dave Socier of the Pueblo Chieftain thought Pam “too good to be true”, with not just good hands but great ones.
She was voted to the District 7 All-Academic basketball team with a perfect 4.0 in her double majors of Math and History-Government.
Pam now ranches and farms outside Monte Vista with her husband Jan. They have three children and one wonderful grandson Mason.
