  • Adams State’s first and one of just four 4-year all-America wrestlers
  • Earned honors at 118 and 126 pounds from 1986-89
  • Also a 4-time RMAC and Colorado Collegiate Champion
  • Helped lead team to four straight Colorado Collegiate titles and 1986 and 1989 RMAC crowns
  • Finished 7th (1986) and 4th (1987) in 118-pound bracket at NAIA National Championships
  • Took 3rd (1988) and 4th (1989) after moving up to 126 pounds
  • Team took third in 1989 and fourth in 1987
  • Set school school-record for near falls in a season (75) in 1986-87 campaign
  • Also holds career records for technical falls (21), near falls (218) and team points earned (416.75)
  • Shares career tournament championship record (13) with fellow inductee Aaron Casetta
  • Was also a 2-time Academic All-American before earning business Taught and Coached at Aztec (N.M.) H.S. after college, serving as head coach for five years
  • Helped guide team to five state championships and No. 7 national ranking throughout the decade (1990-00)
  • Moved on to Rio Rancho, helping team to win first state title and first back-to-back-to-back (2002-04) state titles in any sport
  • Was named as state Coach of the Year and to Who’s Who amongst American Coaches while at Aztec
  • Now runs family restaurant and trains Jiu-Jitsu and cage fighters
  • Is a Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu
