Adams State University Athletics

Stephen Gittens was a hurdler for Adams State and he led the school record in the 400-meter hurdles as he won the NCAA Division II Championship in 1996 with a time of 50.26. He was a three-time outdoor All-American as he earned the distinctions in 1995 in both the 110-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles.

He was a two-time indoor All-American as he earned the distinction in 1996 and 1997 in the 55-meter hurdles.
