Outdoors she was a four-time All-American and won two titles in 2006 including the 800-meter and the 1,500-meter.

In addition to her multiple RMAC team and Individual Championships, Martinez added the 2002 RMAC Indoor Freshman of the Year accolade to her belt. When she left Adams State she was the school record holder for the distance medley relay and the 1,500-meter. After running for Adams State she was a 2008 Olympic Trial Qualifier in the 800-meter.
