ALAMOSA, Colo. – In what will be their second shot at both Regis and UCCS whom they faced just two weeks prior, the Grizzlies are back at home after back to back weekends on the road.
 
In what was a tightly contested 1-0 game that saw Ethan Wilson score the winning goal with less than nine minutes left in regulation for the Regis victory on September 30^th, the Grizzlies fought hard playing stout defense, and will be out to avenge the close loss. They face a Ranger team that has gone unbeaten in its last five RMAC games (one tie), and like Adams State, its strength is in its ability to defend.
 
Goalie Jacob Faircloth had a day to remember in the last game against Regis, as he made an astounding nine saves and nearly carried the Grizzlies into overtime, but let in a tough goal in the final nine minutes of the match.
 
For a team that has gone scoreless in its last five games, they face a tough test Friday afternoon looking to split the season series at one game apiece against Regis.
 
Adams State's last contest against UCCS was one they would like to forget, as they fell 3-0 back on September 28^th in Colorado Springs. The Grizzlies were beaten with a consistent Mountain Lion attack on offense, and were neutralized for entirety of the game only managing eight shots, with two of those on goal.
 
Grizzly goalie Jacob Faircloth let in three goals in 74 minutes of action, and was replaced by fellow keeper Shawn McKeeken with 16 minutes to play.
 
UCCS comes into Sunday's showdown fresh off of a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory against Colorado Mesa, and have one three out of their last four.
 
Adams State will once again look to square off against these two familiar foes, and hopefully the result is better than last time. They face Regis Friday at 3 PM and UCCS Sunday at noon. Both games will be played at the Adams State Soccer Field.
