MLAX | Grizzlies Rock Wildcats to Finish Home Stand

ALAMOSA – Despite giving up the first goal, Adams State University men's lacrosse went on to rock Johnson and Wales by a score of 27-1. The Grizzlies started out flat-footed, but 13 players found the back of the net in this game led by freshman Alex Hoduffer's coming out party with six goals. Adams heads to Missouri for a spring break trip that takes on Maryville, Rockhurst and Lindenwood.

Big man Deshaunte Longley was the first to score, waking up the Grizzlies after a poor first three minutes of play. Alex Brydson would score to notch up the score, then it was all Adams State after that. The Grizzlies would put up six in the first, eight in the second and third, and five in the fourth.

Hoduffer, a freshman from Lake Oswego, Oregon, scored all six of his goals in the first three quarters. He had six goals on 13 shots, while also picking up seven groundballs. Brydson was next up on the party, scoring four goals and an assist on eight shots. Kale Wilson would pick up three to continue his team-leading in goals scored. Emmitt MacFarlane was the unsung hero, putting up four assists.

The team set records in goals by six and were third in assists with a dozen. The team rocked the shots record by 33 shots. This was the second time in program history a team has allowed only a single goal.

Numerous other records were set, while Hoduffer nearly set the goal record in a game, just one off of Danny Mayes and Connor Morgan's performances with seven.

The team was a perfect 15-of-15 on clears and held the Wildcats to six-of-23. They also won 27 faces and forced 23 turnovers.
