Alamosa, Colo - The Adams State Men's soccer team gears up for week four of conference play as they await Colorado Christian for a Friday afternoon matchup starting at 3 p.m. then take on Metro State for a Sunday afternoon matchup, kicking off at 1 p.m.

The Grizzlies' Early Season

Adams State Men's soccer saw their first win on the season last week, coming out on top in a heated Sunday afternoon matchup against UCCS. Dylan Udero and Pablo Fernandez both fired shots that saw the back of the net in the first half with only two minutes in between the goals to put early pressure on the visiting Mountain Lions. The Grizzlies showed out on offense, eventually scoring an own goal to make the final score 3-2. Adams State goes into week four of conference play 1-6-1 overall, and 1-4-1 in the RMAC.

Scouting Colorado Christian

The CCU Cougars last saw RMAC foes, SD School of Mines at home to play what would be a tightly knitted match which included two yellow cards per team, and five shots on goal on each side of the ball. Falling to SD Mines, the Cougars make their venture down south with a record of 0-9 (0-6 RMAC) on the season. CCU's offensive front is led by  Zack Mercier, Dmitri Fabro, and Liam Lakey. CCU looks to repeat their last matchup with Adams State and earn their first win on the season.

Scouting MSU Denver

The Roadrunners come to Alamosa 4-5-1 (2-3-1 RMAC) on the season. After holding the RMAC leading, Colorado School of Mines to a 1-1 2OT tie, MSU looks for a successful road weekend to put them over .500 on the season. The Roadrunners stand behind sophomore forward Jaime Gutierrez and freshman midfielder Jerry Gutierrez. Senior midfielder, Yannick Schad holds a top ten spot in the RMAC for assists. The Grizzlies look to defeat MSU Denver for the first time in team history.
