ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Adams State Grizzlies opened their last home weekend against Westminster College. The Grizzlies are looking for their second win on the season, while Westminster is looking for their eighth win.
The first half of the game went in Westminster's favor. Fifteen minutes into the game Madison Schmidt scored with an assist from Alex Hoffman. This made the score 1-0 and it would remain like this for the rest of the first half.
The second half began and it was a completely different story. The Grizzlies took control of the second half and had many close opportunities to tie the game. The Grizzlies kept their foot on the gas and was applying pressure to the Griffins. This went on most of the second half without the Grizzlies finding the back of the net. Unfortunately, this went on until the end of the game and the Grizzlies lost 1-0.
Up next, the Grizzlies host their last home game of the season against Colorado Mesa. At this game the Grizzlies will also be celebrating their seniors. The game begins at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 31st.
