PUEBLO, Colo.—The Adams State Women's Soccer team didn't get any break as they were back on the field after playing Saturday afternoon. The Grizzlies traveled to CSU Pueblo as they took on the ThunderWolves in fierce game but took the fall, 1-0.
The first half of the game was off to a slow start, most of the time the ball remained in the center of the field as occasional passes were being made. The ThunderWolves came close to the Grizzly territory early but the Grizzlies stood their ground not allowing them to make any goals. The ThunderWolves persisted to make their way towards Grizzly territory and managed to make a goal in the 30th minute. The Grizzlies began attack the ball in a dominant matter but ended the first half trialing the ThunderWolves 1-0.
The Grizzlies came back in the second half fired up as they began to make smarter passes. The Grizzlies were able to get the ball into the ThunderWolves territory but struggled to find openings to make a shot.

Ashley Beers did not give them a chance as she swept up the ball and got a save. Even as the wind began to pick up,
Jayne Schiess did an impressive job staying in control of the ball, as she waited for an opening to pass to her teammates. Despite the Grizzlies efforts, the ThunderWolves came out with the win, 1-0.
Overall, the Grizzlies had five shots, three on goal during the contest, while the Thunderwolves had 16 shots, three on target in the game.
The Grizzlies will return to action next Friday, March 26, as they travel to Golden, Colorado to take on Colorado School of Mines in a match beginning at 7:00 p.m.
