COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— The Grizzlies continued their series against the Mountains Lions with two seven-inning games today in Colorado Springs.
Game 1: UCCS 11, Adams State 4
The Grizzlies started off the game with scoring a run in the top of the first inning with a run batted in single by
Mike Bathauer. The Mountain Lions responded with five runs in the bottom of the first inning which included two homeruns. The Grizzlies cut into the lead in the top of the third inning by scoring two runs which included a run batted in single by
Matt Bathauer. The Mountain Lions then scored six unanswered runs which include two runs in the bottom of the third and four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. The Grizzlies added one more run in the top of the sixth inning.
Game 2: UCCS 4, Adams State 2
The Grizzlies battled with the Mountains Lions taking an 2-0 lead after three innings.
Will Morley scored the only runs for the Grizzlies with a two-run home run in the top of the third inning. The Mountains tied up the game in the bottom of the fourth inning then took the bottom of the sixth inning with a two-run homerun.
Alfredo Villa pitched a complete game for the Grizzlies.
