ALAMOSA, Colo.—The Adams State University Softball team saw their season come to an end on Sunday afternoon as they dropped both games of Senior Day twin bill, 19-7 and 7-2.
Adams State finishes the season with a 13-29 overall record and a 13-27 record in the conference.
On Sunday, Adams State posted 21 base hits.
In the first game, the Roadrunners jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the first two innings and led 11-0 headed into the bottom of the fourth, however, Adams State decided to score five runs in the bottom of the fourth including a bases-loaded triple by senior
Tyler Hays, who played in her 200th career game on Sunday.
The Roadrunners effectively closed out the game with seven runs in the top of the sixth inning but the Grizzlies added two more into the bottom of the sixth.
The second game saw the Grizzlies lone runs come in the bottom of the fourth when
Belinda Vargas tripled to center field.
