ALAMOSA, Colo. – As we all know COVID-19 is still in full effect. Because of this, Dallas Baptist had to cancel their game, scheduled for Saturday, September 11th, against the Adams State Grizzlies. The Grizzlies, however still determined to play, scheduled a fellow RMAC team, Colorado Christian, to play. The Grizzlies will now play the Cougars at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday in a non-conference matchup.
The Grizzlies are taking this game head on as this will be the first of three matchups between the two teams. The Cougars have yet to lose so far this season as they beat Southwest Baptist 2-1 and William Jewel 2-1. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies are hoping to end their losing streak and get their first win of the season.
"We feel good about the opportunity to get close to the full starting group out together and play our way into match fitness," Head Coach
Brett Bentley said. "The goal will be to be disciplined and consistent in the details and play 17-18 players in the game."
The Grizzlies have also been affected by COVID-19 as they were finally able to have the full team together, right before their first match earlier this week.
Up next the Grizzlies will head to Durango, Colorado to take on Fort Lewis College on Friday, September 17th, at 3:00 p.m.
