ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Adams State Grizzlies will hold their first two conference games at home this weekend. The Grizzlies will play Colorado School of Mines on Friday and Colorado Christian on Sunday. Friday's game for both the men's and women's will have every elementary kid from the valley get in free. Then for the game on Sunday, both the men's and women's team are having a white out game and the first 20 people who get in will get a free t shirt.
First matchup for the Grizzlies is Colorado School of Mines on Friday, October 1st, at 3:30 p.m. The Grizzlies and Orediggers are fresh off of a win so both teams will be looking to extend their winning streak to two. The Orediggers recently beat Metropolitan State University Denver 4-0, which makes their overall record 5-0-3.
Then, on Sunday, October 3rd at 1:00 p.m., the Grizzlies will host Colorado Christian. This will be these two teams third matchup this season. In the previous games Colorado Christian won both, but the Grizzlies played the, tough and will work towards a different outcome this time. The Cougars are currently undefeated this year and the Grizzlies look to be the team to ruin that.
"Great opening weekend for us after getting a good result on Sunday," Head Coach
Brett Bentley said. "This team is starting to really come together and it couldn't be a better time. We go into the weekends with everything to play for and that is what we plan to do."
Up next, the Grizzlies will travel to Utah to play Westminster College on Friday, October 8th at 7:00 p.m. and then travel to Grand Junction, Colorado to play Mesa on Sunday, October 10th, at 12:00 p.m.
