ALAMOSA, Colo. - Westminster blanked Adams State 4-0 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play Sept. 30.
The win pushes the record for the Griffins to 4-5-1, 1-2-1 in the RMAC. The Grizzlies slipped to 0-10-1, 0-5-1 in conference play.
Cage Wood (his first) and Jace Vance (his second) scored a minute and 22 seconds apart in the first half. Cole Kartchner added his first score of the season in the 34th minute, and Luis Martinez finished up the scoring in the 73rd minute with an unassisted goal.
The Griffins had 14 shots, 11 of which came in the first half. ASU goalie
Zach Carr made three saves. Adams State had three shots. WC goalkeeper Roark Looney made one save.
ASU returns to work at noon Sunday, Oct. 2, when the Grizzlies host Colorado Mesa University.
