DURANGO, Colo. –The Adams State University Grizzly soccer team took eight shots on Wednesday night as the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks soared away with a 6-1 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) win at Dirks Field.
Of the eight shots, three were on goal with one, a penalty kick goal in the 19th minute from
Ranulfo Lopez, cutting an already 2-0 lead in half.
The Skyhawks scored a penalty kick goal in the third minute before adding another goal in the 14th minute. The Grizzly defense did wonders in the first half as that is all the scoring.
Fort Lewis scored four second half goals including one in the 53rd minute, the 67th minute, the 79th minute and in the 87th minute.
In the game, Fort Lewis took 30 shots including 19 goal. With that being said,
Zach Carr finished the game with 12 saves to his name.
The Grizzlies, now 0-14-1 have three remaining games left in the season with the next game on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. when they travel to the Assembly Athletic Complex for a conference match up with the MSU Denver Roadrunners.
