ALAMOSA, Colo. - The Grizzlies continue the pod weekend with a nine inning game against the 10
th ranked Colorado Mesa University Mavericks.
Game 1: Mavericks 13 Grizzlies 0 
The Mavericks opened up the game with a single run in the top of the first inning. The Mavericks bat got hot in the third inning with a three-run home run. The Mavericks then put up with solo home runs in the top fourth, four runs in the top of the fifth, one run in the top of the sixth, and two runs in the top of the seventh.  The Grizzlies only recorded three hits in the game. Cedric Reynaud, 
Matt Bathauer, and 
Chris Gracia recorded the hits for the Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies started right hander 
Cutter Smith. He was handed the loss for the Grizzlies bringing his record to 1-3. He threw four innings giving up five earned runs with three walks and three strikeouts.
                
Up Next: The Grizzlies finish off the pod weekend with a double header tomorrow starting at 11 a.m. The first game the Grizzlies will play Colorado Mesa University for nine innings then play Regis University for the final game of the pod weekend.
