SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH — The Adams State Grizzlies played in the first round of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) tournament in Salt Lake City, Utah against the Westminster Griffins with the Griffins winning the game 19-2.
The Griffins attacked the Grizzlies' defense almost immediately. The Grizzlies weren't able to hold them off as they scored six goals in the first period. In the second period, the Grizzlies offense started to come alive, when
Chase Roush was able to find the back of the net. However, the Griffins would score five more goals. The score going into halftime was 11-1, Griffins.
The second half began and the Griffins were at it again. They found the back of the net four more times in the third period.
Finally, in the fourth,
Ron Johnson scored for the Grizzlies. This offensive run wasn't enough as the final score of the game was 19-2.
The Griffins will carry on to the next round of the RMAC playoffs as the Grizzlies are eliminated.
