FB| Eagles escape Alamosa with key conference win

ALAMOSA, Colo.—Despite facing a tough opponent, the Grizzlies displayed determination and gave their all on the Rex Stadium Field this afternoon. The final score did not reflect their efforts as Chadron State University defeated Adams State University, 53-14.

In the first quarter, the Grizzlies determinedly took the field to establish a strong defense. The Grizzlies positioned themselves precisely and quickly responded to the Eagle's moves. The pressure began when the first quarter ended with Chadron State building a lead over the Grizzlies.

Tthe second quarter saw Marckell Grayson made a complete middle pass to Aaron Johnson, for 19 yards for a touchdown.  ASU continued to consistently move the ball down the field with a combination of running and passing plays as they had 16 plays for 75 yards for 7:03 minutes.

ASU maintained possession of the ball until the Eagles began to challenge the Grizzlies. The Eagles slowly began to build a solid foundation that allowed them to take control of the game.

Despite the odds being stacked against them the Grizzlies continued to maintain their composure under the pressure in the third quarter. Chadron State consistently found ways to reach the end zone and put points on the board.

In the fourth quarter, a left pass was made by Montana Neustadter to Jamarri Wright at 45 yards to make a touchdown.Zachary Survillas proceeded to make a goal kick and added points to the scoreboard for the Grizzlies.
