ALAMOSA, Colo. - Just like the wind the bone-chilling wind that swept across the Adams State University Softball Field on Saturday, the Colorado Mesa Mavericks came in and were stone cold as they swept a doubleheader over the Grizzlies.
Game 1: Colorado Mesa 13, Adams State 10
The Mavericks scored in every inning of the first game except the third while the Grizzlies scored in four innings.Â
a couple of the bright spots in the game were a two-run home from Â
Angeline Mitchell and a three-run blast by
Riley Marshall in the seventh.
Game 2: Colorado Mesa 22, Adams State 4 (5 inn.)
The second game saw the Mavericks pounce on the Grizzlies with 19 hits including 7 extra base hits.Â
