ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Adams State Grizzlies were shut out in the opening game of Friday's RMAC doubleheader but they were able to rebound with 5-1 win.
Game 1: Regis 6, Adams State 0
The game opened with the Grizzlies getting the first two hits, however, the first runs of the game wouldn't come until the top of the fourth in which the Rangers strung together seven hits and four stolen bases for six runs.
The Grizzlies threatened in the bottom of the fifth by loading the bases, but they could not push a single runner across. The Grizzlies, who defensively held the Rangers down except for two innings, finally scored in the bottom of the seventh
Game 2: Adams State 5, Regis 1
The second game saw the Grizzlies score the first one in a wild pitch after
Jade Garbiso earned a triple in the bottom of the first. The Grizzlies saw the lead grow to four in the bottom of the third that saw a dropped fly ball allow two runs to come across before
Mariah Madrid pushed the fifth and final run across in the bottom of the sixth inning on a double.
Jasmine Garbiso had the complete game win as she allowed one run on four hits and three walks.
