MLAX | Quincy University Dominates Adams State Amid Snowy Yet Sunny Conditions

ALAMOSA, Colo. – Quincy University's men's lacrosse team showcased a blistering performance, netting eight goals within the first eight minutes, ultimately triumphing over Adams State with a commanding score of 23-8 on March 14 in Alamosa, where the wintry landscape swiftly transformed into a realm of refreshing sunshine.

With this victory, QU extended its record to 4-3, while the Grizzlies saw their standing slip to 1-4.

QU established a formidable 13-5 lead by halftime. Jordan Ernst exhibited stellar performance with four goals, bringing his season tally to six. Blaine Lowrence, who contributed three goals, leads the team with an impressive 12 goals this season. John Jennings also made significant contributions with a pair of goals, marking his total at four for the season. Caidyn Prediger added two goals to his name, making it a total of eight goals for him this season.

On the ASU side, Matthew Lash shone with four goals, elevating his season total to 10, while Danny Joy secured his second goal of the year. Kris Owens and Drew Guerrero each contributed with a goal, marking Owens' seventh of the season and Guerrero's fourth. Devon Schmidt closed the scoring with his third goal of the season in the fourth period.

QU dominated the shot count, outshooting the Grizzlies 47-28. Goalkeeper Ryan Riggs exhibited a stalwart defense with five saves for the Hawk, while ASU's Jamisen Blackwell, who came on in relief, matched the effort with five saves of his own.

Adams State will return to their home turf for their next match at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 22, against Concordia University-Irvine.
