Alamosa, Colo. - The Adams State baseball team played their final game of their postseason play, Thursday, against Colorado Mesa. The game ended 17-10 in favor of Mesa. This game brought the Grizzlies to 24-28 on the season and 19-15 in RMAC play.
Colorado Mesa 17, Adams State 10
The game started off scoreless in the first inning, but then Mesa scored first with 4 runs in the bottom of the second inning. The Grizzlies then fired right back with 5 runs in the top of the third inning. Mesa would then score 8 more runs in the bottom of the third. Mesa would add a combined 3 runs in the fifth and sixth innings and then the Grizzlies rallied in the seventh and eighth innings, scoring 5 runs, but that was not enough and Mesa would win the game 17-10.
This game marks the final game for the Grizzlies this season after a historic run. The Grizzlies made it to the RMAC tournament for the third time ever in the past century and also achieved the most wins ever in a season since bringing back the sport with 24 wins overall.
The Grizzlies had 10 runs on 12 hits from 39 at bats compared to Mesa's 17 runs on 15 hits and 36 at bats.
