ALAMOSA, Colorado — In the Grizzlies' first home swim meet of the year, both the men and women fell to Colorado College. The final score total for the men was 137-67, and the final score total for the women was 158-34.
Men's Events
Leading the way for the men in today's swim meet for the Grizzlies were Quintin Cummings and Finn McCarthy. Cummings finished in 4th place overall with 1 gold and 3 silvers. McCarthy finished tied for 8th place overall with 1 silver and 1 bronze. Overall, Cummings contributed 13 points and McCarthy contributed 7 points to the Grizzlies' final total of 67 on the meet.
200 Yard Free- In the 200 Yard Free, the Grizzlies collected 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place in the race. Finishing in second, collecting silver was Quintin Cummings, who was followed by Kenny Rupp in third and Dillon Brown in fourth. Cummings finished with a final time of 1:51.10, Rupp with a time of 1:52.63, and Brown with a time of 1:54.71.
100 Yard Fly- In the 100 Yard Fly, the Grizzlies took the gold and silver with Quintin Cummings winning the race with a time of 53.67 and Devin Walters collecting second with a final time of 55.03.
500 Yard Free- Collecting a silver with his second-place finish was Finn McFarland. McFarland finished with a final time of 5:18.28 to collect a silver.
100 Yard Back- Kenny Rupp collected 3rd place in the 100 Yard Back with a final time of 56.47.
100 Yard Breast- The Grizzlies finished in third and fourth in the 100 Yard Breast. Finishing in third place was Keenan Johnson, and finishing in fourth place was Victor Lebsock. Johnson finished with a final time of 1:04.35, and Lebsock finished with a final time of 1:04.50.
1000 Yard Free- In the 1000 Yard Free, the Grizzlies collected a third-place finish. Finn McFarland collected the bronze with a final time of 11:07.59.
200 Yard IM - In the 200 Yard IM, the Grizzlies placed second and third. Finishing in second place was Victor Lebsock, and in third place was Ben Brewer. Lebsock finished with a final time of 2:07.79, and Brewer finished with a final time of 2:07.84.
Women's Events
Leading the way for the women in today's swim meet for the Grizzlies were Ashlyn Popham, Jocelyn Jones, and Kennedy Larson. Popham, Jones, and Larson totaled 6 points for the Grizzlies, accounting for 18 of the 34 total points. In today's meet, Popham finished with a silver and a bronze, while both Jones and Larson finished with 3 bronzes in today's meet.
