Richards Finds the Net in RMAC Road Battle Against South Dakota Mines

Rapid City, S.D. – The Adams State men's soccer team continued RMAC play on the road Sunday afternoon, falling 5–1 to South Dakota Mines at Dakota Fields.

The Hardrockers came out strong, scoring four goals in the opening 20 minutes to take an early lead. Adams State regrouped after halftime and found better rhythm offensively, generating all four of their shots and eight corner kicks in the second half.

Avery Richards put the Grizzlies on the board in the 53rd minute with his team-leading seventh goal of the season, continuing his strong offensive stretch late in the season.

Goalkeeper Joshua Kropf recorded eight saves while facing 28 total shots from South Dakota Mines. Francesco Boscolo MorettoJett McTavish, and Caleb Avila each went the distance defensively, helping steady the backline after a difficult first half.

The Grizzlies move to 1–14–1 overall and 0–9–0 in RMAC play and will close out the regular season on Wednesday as they host Fort Lewis College at home at 12 p.m.
