Golden, Colo. – Adams State women's soccer wrapped up its season on Sunday afternoon, falling 4–1 to Colorado School of Mines during the RMAC Quarterfinal at Stermole Soccer Stadium.
The Grizzlies (9-8-3, 4-6-2 RMAC) battled throughout the opening 45 minutes, weathering heavy offensive pressure from the Orediggers. Goalkeeper Ashlyn Bartley made four first-half saves to keep it close, but Mines' Bella Campos broke through in the 21st minute with a near-post finish to give the hosts a 1–0 lead at the break.
Adams State responded immediately after halftime. In the 48th minute, Lorena Vargas-Galvan connected on a cross from Ashlyn De Lemos, firing an arcing shot under the crossbar to level the score at 1–1.
However, Mines quickly regained control. Less than two minutes later, Caelan DeBolt headed home a corner kick to put the Orediggers back in front. Campos then completed her hat trick with goals in the 60th and 67th minutes — one coming on a penalty kick — to seal the 4–1 final.
Bartley finished with five saves on 25 total shots faced. Adams State generated 14 shots of its own, with Vargas-Galvan leading the way with four attempts.
The match closes out the Grizzlies' 2025 campaign, one that saw Adams State record its highest win total in recent seasons and make strides under a young, developing roster.
