Alamosa, Colorado — In the final game of a four-game series against Metro State the Grizzlies took game four to secure a series split with a final score of 8-6. The win puts the Grizzlies at 13-21(9-7 RMAC).

Strong pitching led the Grizzlies to a game four win today behind the outstanding efforts of Joseph Marek who started on the mound. Marek started the game with 3 straight zeros allowing the Grizzly offense to get rolling early giving them an early 4-0 lead. Marek finished with a final line of 7 innings, 2 hits allowed, 1 run, 5 walks, and 6 strikeouts. Marek was able to hold the Metro State offense down the entire day as he only allowed hits to one of the nine starters for the Roadrunners. Marek secured the win giving him a record of 3-1 on the year.

The Grizzlies were led offensively by Ayden Tauscher, Braden Watkins, Josiah Hall, Jorden Rico, and Gunner Martinez. All five individuals recorded two or more hits, giving the Grizzly offense the spark to score multiple runs. The five individuals also combined for a total of 12 of the Grizzlies' 14 hits.

Watkins had another breakout day for the Grizzlies as he finished 4 for 5, with a home run, and 4 RBIs. Watkins's home run today was his sixth of the season and his four hits today give him eight on the weekend. As well, his four RBIs give him eight for the weekend. On another note, Hall hit another two doubles putting him at 13 on the year and putting him in a tie for the second-most doubles in the RMAC.
