Colorado Springs, Colo. – The RMAC announced its Men's Wrestling All-Academic teams Wednesday afternoon, with Adams State's Benjamin Tonnessen earning First Team All-Academic honors. He was joined by seven additional Grizzlies who were named to the Honor Roll.
Tonnessen was also named the RMAC Summit Award winner this season, recognizing the wrestler with the highest GPA among the conference's championship teams after Adams State and Colorado School of Mines shared the regular-season title. He concludes his Adams State career as a First Team All-Academic selection, posting a 3.86 graduate GPA in MBA Healthcare Administration and a 3.91 undergraduate GPA in kinesiology.
Tonnessen is joined on the Honor Roll by Kieran Thompson (Sr., Business Administration), Travis Vialpondo (Jr., Business Administration), Aaron Zamora (Jr., Business Administration), Daniel Long (Jr., Business Administration), Jack Fazcak (Sr., Business Administration), Dale Van Matre (Sr., Kinesiology) and Breck Williams (So., Business Administration).
