2012 Season (Freshman): Made 16 appearances with 14 starts...Went 7-3 with a 4.62 ERA which led the Grizzlies...Pitched five scoreless innings against Metro State on April 13, leading the Grizzlies to a 6-0 shutout of the Roadrunners.

2013 Season (Sophomore): Made 17 appearances for the Grizzlies with 12 starts...in her 54.1 innings pitched she had a 5.28 ERA taking credit for 4 ASU wins.

Prep: A 3-time South Central League 1st Team All-Conference selection under the Travis Manzanares coached Centennial Bulldogs… A Denver Post All-State Honorable Mention as a sophomore and junior in 2008 and 2009… Named a Colorado Coaches of Girls Sports All-State player as a senior in 2010 and picked for the CHSCA All-State Games softball team… Played in 80 career games, pitching 503.3 innnings with a 2.10 ERA and 513 strikeouts.

Academics: Majoring in Organismal Biology at Adams State...aspiring to be a physical therapist or physician's assistant...Earned seven academic letters and was ranked fifth out of 229 students at Centennial HS with a GPA of 4.79 (on a 5.0 scale). A member of the National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society.

Off the Field: Born 8/3/92… Daughter of Albert and Margaret Hernandez… Has one older sister, Jessica…Enjoys reading and watching movies, especially Remember the Titans… Favorite food is ice cream… Chose ASU because of the small class sizes and successful softball program...Favorite professional sports team is the Colorado Rockies.
