Prep: Earned first team all-region and honorable mention all-state honors as a quarterback for the Steve Campbell coached Williams Field HS Black Hawks of Gilbert, Ariz.... Completed 68 percent of his passes for 1,900 yards and 24 touchdowns as a senior in 2010… Only threw three interceptions that season while leading the team to a 13-1 record and a state championship game appearance… Had completed 56 percent of his passes for 1,800 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior in 2009… The team went 9-2 and made the first round of the state playoffs that year… Also competed in baseball, basketball and track for the Black Hawks.

Academics: Is planning to major in business with an emphasis in marketing… Is an honor roll student in high school with a 3.3 GPA.

Off the Field: Born 10/15/92 to Randy and Martha Ross… Brothers Scott and Matthew are 22 and 20, respectively… Sister Sara is 18… Randy played football at Wayne State… Had a grandpa who played at Wisconsin and an uncle who played at Minnesota… Is originally from Omaha, Neb… Enjoys fishing and snowboarding… Favorite movie is She's Out of My League… Favorite foods are ribs… Favorite professional sports teams are the Denver Broncos, Phoenix Suns and Atlanta Braves.
