Prep: Played his high school ball at Holy Family High School under Marc Cunel.... Recieved 1st team All Conference honors as a senior shortstop.... Helped his team to a 22-3 record and an appearance in the state championship game.... Also played football and basketball in high school.

Family: Parents are Eloy and Vicky Gonzales.... Father played baseball at Metro State University and mother played softball at Creighton Univeristy.

Other: Favorite food is mexican.... Favorite professional sports teams are the Houston Rockets and Denver Broncos.
