Prep: Played for the Legacy HS Lightening under Ty Giordano... Had a .490 batting average with 16 runs scored and 12 RBI part-way through his 2012 senior season… Earned first Team All-conference honors… The team was 15-4 while entering the playoffs… Played first base, pitcher and outfield positions.

Club: Played for Thunder Academy under Coach Darron Cox... Fall season team from 2009-11.

Academics: Plans to major in business administration… Wants to become a businessman and eventually a coach… Was a first team academic All-State pick in 2010-2011 and an academic All-Conference pick from 2010-12… Had a 3.8 high school GPA… Is an academic letter-winner… Named to the Principal’s Honor Roll from 2009-11.

Off the Field: Born 11/22/93… Son of Kent and Susan Wells… Brother Brent is 15… Kent played baseball at Southern Illinois-Edwardsville… Enjoys hunting and fishing… Favorite movie is Remember the Titans… Will eat anything on his plate… Favorite professional sports team is the Colorado Rockies.
