Before ASU: Hit .287 with two homeruns, four triples, 14 doubles and 25 RBI as a redshirt sophomore with the Otero JC Rattlers, coached by Chris Carrillo in 2012… Had a .376 on-base percentage… Had hit .221 with one homer and 18 RBI in 2011, helping the team to a 39-21 record and a second place finish in Region IX… Walked 39 times and recorded a .402 on-base percentage while belting out one triple and six doubles… Had redshirted in 2010.
Club: Playing for the Denver Rockets, coahced by Jake Little in 2012… Played for the Red Bears, coached by Pat Perry, in 2011.
Prep: Earned All-Conference and All-Aurora honors as a senior with the Scott Henry coached Smoky Hill HS Buffs in 2009, his senior year… Hit .412 while belting out five homers and 27 RBI… Also had a triple and a .529 on-base percentage… Helped the team to a 12-9 record… Also served as the captain and assistant captain for the ice hockey team.
Academics: Is undecided upon a major... Graudated from Smoky Hill HS in 2009 with a 3.469 GPA... Received the Academic All-State Honorable Mention... Graduated magna cum laude from Otero JC in 2011… Was an academic all-region pick from 2010-12…Had a 3.76 GPA at Otero JC.
Off the Field: Born 11/22/90…Son of Brian and Darci Wold… Siblings Teddi Jo and Guinn are 24 and 18, respectively... Enjoys water skiing, snow skiing and climbing 14’ers… Favorite movie is For the Love of the Game… Favorite foods are steak and potatoes.
