Biography

2016:   In his first year with the Grizzlies Downs was awarded 2nd Team All-RMAC at Catcher. He was able to put together a remarkable season batting .368 AVG, 10 doubles, 20 RBI’s, a team leader in stolen bases with 5, and an on-base percentage of  .449. On the defensive side Downs shined as he sported a .968 fielding percentage by only committing 9 errors on 279 chances. He also led the RMAC in thrown out base runners, gunning down 23 of the 35 attempted base stealers.
