2014 Season: Played in 9 games for the Grizzlies... totalling 14 tackles, eight solo, six assisted, and one tackle for a loss... Posted one sack on the season.

Junior College: Was first enrolled and played football at Simon Fraser University (Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada).....then transferred and played at Santa Barbara City College where he ranked first in the Pacific Conference with 72 tackles as a defensive end.

Prep: A First Team All-League selection at defensive end for the Dos Pueblos High School Chargers in 2010.....Named defensive lineman of the year in 2010 and defensive MVP in 2009....Coached by Nate Mendoza, the Chargers finished 8-2 during Powell's senior season....also spent time at fullback and tight end

Off The Field: Was a junior college Honor Roll member....holds a 3.0 GPA.....career plan is to work for the DEA or police enforcement.
