2013 Outdoor: 1:55.46 (800m), 3:55.16 (1500m)
Before ASU: Ran under coach John Boldman at Cerritos College in Norwalk, Calif… Finished 34th in the South Coast Conference Championships during the 2011 cross country season with the Falcons after redshirting in 2010... Was an 800-meter specialist on the track in 2011... Placed fourth in the that discipline at the American River Invitational before taking second at the SCCC meet in 1:55.78 to qualify for the Southern California Preliminaries... Had competed in both cross country and track at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, Calif. as a freshman in 2009-10... Posted best times of 1:57.49 (800m) and 4:24.08 (1,500m) there.
Prep: Ran under coach Jason Bruton at Cypress HS... Had bests 4:35 (1,600m) and 1:59 (800m) for the Centurions.
Academics: Is majoring in Business… Graduated from Cypress HS in 2009 and from Cerritos College in December, 2011 with a 3.73 GPA... Was an honor roll student...
Off the Track: Born 6/17/91… Son of Richard and Gina Acuna… Brother James is 15… Enjoys going to the beach and body surfing… Favorite movie is Anchorman… Favorite foods are Italian dishes... Favorite professional teams are the Los Angeles Lakers and Dodgers.
