2010 Outdoor: Competed unattached…Placed 5th overall in both the shot put and discus throw at the Don Kirby Memorial Invitational (May 1), with distances of 14.83 meters (48’ 8”) in the shot put and 43.89 meters (144’) in the discus…Finished 3rd at the CSU-Pueblo Invitational (April 17) in the shot put, throwing 15.65 meters (51’ 4 ¼”)…Best shot put of the season was a distance of 15.82 meters (51’ 11”), which he threw at the Tom Benich Classic (April 3).
2009-10 Indoor: Competed unattached…Placed 2nd overall in the shot put at the CSM Alumni Extravaganza (Dec. 5), his only competition of the season, with a mark of 16.27 meters (51’ 5 ½”).
Prep: Coached by Dean Wright… Was a four time All-American… Was a US Junior Team member… Also was an AAU Junior Olympic Champion.
Academics: Is majoring in Finance and Business Administration… Graduated from Methacton HS in 2009 with a 4.0 GPA.
Off the Track: Born 01/27/91… Son of Daryl and Cornelia Lavong… Siblings Carlton, Danielle, and Joyce… Enjoys under water basket weaving… Favorite movie is Mulan 2.
