As a Sophomore (Fall 2012): Has been the team’s most improved player and one of the most consistent… Finished the fall ranked second on the squad in scoring average at 85.2… Competed in all four tournaments and nine competitive rounds… Matched her career-best by posting an 80 in the second round of the RMAC #3 in Silver City, N.M… Also capped the fall by posting an 80 in the third and final round of the Otter Invitational in Seaside, Calif… Tallied a career-best 2-day total of 167 to open the season at the Grizzly Invitational/RMAC #1… Posted a round of 81 there and again in the first round of the Regis Invitational/RMAC #2 a week later in Lakewood, Colo… Turned in a 2-day total of 169 in that event before posting a 171 to finish in a tie for 22nd at the RMAC #3 event, her best of finish of the season.
As a Freshman (2011-12): Played in eight tournaments and 16 competitive rounds, including all five spring tournaments… Had a scoring average of 91.5… Was the team’s No. 5 player for most of the season… Tallied a season-best round of 80 in the first round of the RMAC/NSIC Crossover in Omaha, Neb… Had a season-best total of 171 a week earlier at the RMAC #2 event hosted by Chadron State in Scottsbluff, Neb… Finished in a tie for 20th there after posting rounds of 83 and 88, her best overall finish of the campaign… Competed as an individual in that tournament and the Grizzly Invitational before moving into the team’s top 5 for the rest of the year… Tallied seven rounds in the 80’, including in five of her six fall season rounds… Posted a 117-272 (.301) head-to-head winning percentage.
Prep: Played golf for the Kana Condon coached Monte Vista HS Pirates, but attended and played volleyball and basketball at Sargent HS, which did not sponsor girl’s golf… Played second at regionals and 22nd at state as a senior in 2011... Had placed fourth at regionals in each of her first three years… Took 16th at state as a sophomore in 2009, 30th as a junior in 2010 and 59th as a freshman in 2008… The Pirates also placed second at regionals as a team three times and were eighth at state in 2009… Recorded an 85 stroke average as a senior… Won three tournaments and placed in the top 5 more than 20 times during her career… Was a 3-sport letter-winner in each of her four years… Was the Sargent volleyball team’s co-captain as both a junior and senior… Earned second team all-conference honors as a senior… Also earned second team all-conference honors in basketball for the Farmers in both 2010 and 2011 after picking up honorable mention accolades in 2009.
Academics: Is majoring in biology… Posted a 3.92 cumulative GPA in her first year as a Grizzly, earning a spot on the A.D.’s Honor Roll after both semesters… Graduated from Sargent HS with a 4.0 and was the school’s 2011 valedictorian… Was a 4-year academic letter-winner and received the Stewart Award… Was also recognized with the FBLA (Future Business Leader of America) Level Awards… Was the school’s National Honor Society President.
Off the Course: Born 12/8/92 to Monte and Stacie Mullins… Monte played golf at Adams State from 1984-87… Brother Clay is 18… Sister Faithe is 16… Enjoys sports, wakeboarding, camping, hunting, fishing and boating… Favorite movies are American Outlaws and Talladega Nights… Favorite foods are spaghetti and Mexican dishes… Favorite professional golfer is Phil Mickelson.
