Alex Greco

Alex Greco is entering his fifth year as a part of the Adams State Athletic Family. Fall 2026 will be his fifth season as the Head Coach of the Women's Soccer Program. 

In Greco's first four seasons with the Grizzlies, he guided the Adams State Women's Soccer team to a 19-30-11 record while achieving their first RMAC Playoff win in program history during the 2025 season.

The 2025 season also saw the most single season wins, most shutouts, and best winning percentage in program history. Two Adams State Grizzlies were also named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region team for the first time in program history. Greco also coached Fatso Williams to a Second-Team All-RMAC placement 

In the classroom, the team achieved a GPA of 3.51 for the first time in program history. Notably, the team had eight student-athletes receive a 4.0 GPA, eighteen having a 3.5 or higher.
 
Greco comes to Alamosa after two seasons at NCAA Division I Iowa State where he was the Performance Analyst Assistant Coach for the Cyclones.
 
While at ISU, Greco was on a coaching staff that set new highs for the Cyclones. During his time there, ISU had the longest unbeaten streak since 2010 and made it to the Big 12 Tournament where  they tied with TCU.
 
Greco joined the Iowa State staff from Lynn University, where he served as the Fighting Knights’ interim head coach for the 2019 season.
 
Greco coached Lynn to a 7-8-3 season in 2019. Greco had previously served as the school’s assistant coach since May 2017. While at Lynn, Greco because the first coach since 2012 to take the Fighting Knights to the postseason and the 7-8-3 record is the best records for LU since 2011.
 
Greco arrived at Lynn following a one-year stint as the assistant women’s soccer coach at Spring Hill College.
 
Greco also comes to Alamosa with prior experience working at the highest levels of collegiate soccer. Before joining the Spring Hill College staff, Greco served as a volunteer assistant at Indiana University.  While at IU, Greco was a part of a coaching staff that saw a defensive scoreless streak of 463 minute that ranks second in school history. While working with the Hoosiers, Greco coached all positions and held the responsibility of developing practice plans and game tactics. He was also responsible for integrated video analysis and formulating scouting reports of opposing teams.
 
Greco joined the IU coaching staff as a volunteer assistant for the 2015 season after spending the previous two years as a volunteer assistant at UNC-Greensboro.
 
In his second season with UNCG, Greco served as the goalkeepers’ coach, helping freshman Chloe Buehler earn Southern Conference (SoCon) All-Freshman accolades. He also worked individually with all-conference players Georgia Brown, Rebecca Burrows and First Team All-Conference honoree Chesney White. In the spring of 2014, Greco served as an interim assistant coach, helping the Spartans sign their recruiting class for the year.
 
Greco completed his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration as a dual-major in Entertainment Sports Promotional Management and Business Management at Northwood University (now Keiser University) in West Palm Beach, Fla., where he also competed as a student-athlete on the men's soccer team.

Outside the field, Alex has a wife and two children. His wife, also named Alex Greco, is a Physical Therapist at SLV Health, and their two sons are Luca (5 years old) and Leo (2 year old). Alex enjoys traveling (27 countries and counting), watching Juventus play, and hanging out with friends and family.
