Austin Rios is entering his second year as Assistant coach for the Adams State women’s soccer team.
Prior to joining the Adams staff he was a player for Adams State from 2017-2019. He captained the team in the 2019 season and was a major part of the 2017 team that still holds the best record in program history. He also graduated from Adams State with a Bachelor’s in K-12 Education.
Rios came to Adams State from Mesa Community College in Arizona where he played from 2015-2017. In the 2016-17 season Austin captained the Mesa team to their fourth consecutive playoff run as well as winning ACCAC Defensive Player of the Year.
After college Austin went on the play a season in the EPLWA for the Vancouver Victory, and then a season in UPSL with Sporting AZ FC.
